The
Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow
moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you
away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love

benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour
of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant
to engage and captivate for life!

It's
an exciting, Latin inspired, dance 'n tone program. This
is the original dance-fitness class taken to the next level. ZUMBA® TONING is an innovative muscle training program with the
addition of light weight toning sticks. 1 1/2 lb - 3lb,
sand filled toning sticks, which are very similar to maracas are
used. In a relatively short period of time, this challenging
workout helps in building coordination and muscle
endurance. The
Intro to Ballet:
A class designed for the adults with absolutely no ballet
experience. This 60 minute class covers proper stance for alignment,
positions of the arms and feet as well as the coordination of these
principles. Students will learn the ballet vocabulary necessary for
other forms of dance disciplines. Ballet slippers required.
Adult Ballet Beyond Basics:
You have not danced in awhile but are confident in the basic
terminology and just need to let your muscle memory brush up before
taking the adult ballet. Ballet slippers required.
BalletFit:
Ballet-inspired movements help to improve
flexibility, balance, and can also strengthen, lengthen and tone
muscles. Jumps, leaps and hops will create a feel good aerobic
workout while push-ups on the barre will promote overall toning,
help burn calories, increase muscle strength and improve
coordination. Class is for dancers and non-dancers alike who
are looking for immediate workout without the strict technique.
Ballet slippers required.
Hip Hop:
Hip hop is a high-energy street movement dance as seen in many music
videos and TV shows. Challenging routines are taught that are
cool, dynamic and never dull. Wear comfortable clothes and
bring clean soled sneakers, a towel and drinking water.
Horizontal Barrè:
Horizontal Barre is a gentle, yet
effective, technique for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Utilizing the floor without the pressure of gravity,
Horizontal Barré strengthens
and corrects placement of the pelvis, hips and back. It helps to
develop an awareness of turnout and control of
basic placement of the body. Wear comfortable clothes..

Musical Theater Jazz:
Jazz dance is a means of self-expression that is exciting,
challenging, entertaining, and artistic. This natural dance
form is freer, and more contemporary than other dance forms. It can develop muscle tone, reduce fatigue, release tension and
build self -esteem by giving you control over your body.
*Intro to Salsa:
Learn to dace the basics of the hottest Latin dance. Course content
includes basic footwork, turn patterns and the essentials of leading
and following. Partners are highly suggested.
*Salsa II:
A continuation of Intro to Salsa, working on styling, multiple turns
and combinations at a faster tempo.
Baby Boomer Taps (formally known as Silver
Taps):
Learn basic tap moves and a routine to perform for your family or
the entire community. This class is all about fun and stimulation of
your physical agility to the sounds of your feet. Tap shoes needed.
*Intro to Tap Dance:
Come learn one of the truly American
art forms. Course content includes all basic tap vocabulary
including shuffles, flaps, buffalos and single time steps. (Tap
shoes required)
Cardio Tap Dance:
Tap dancing strengthens and tones muscles and provides a healthy workout for the heart. This fun and de-stressing workout is set to an eclectic range
of music from swing to disco. Tap dance experience is helpful but not required. Tap shoes
are needed.

Am I too old to dance?
You're never too old to dance. We offer classes for adults who are
returning to dance or who are taking their first dance class.
Can I dance if I have two left feet?
Absolutely! Many of our classes are for beginners. The classes are
fun, not intimidating but still very effective at helping you grow a
right foot.
*Not all classes are offered each semester
